The consultation process for implant surgery is basically made in just one visit. During this initial visit, we will ask you about your medical and dental history, we will complete a thorough oral examination and we will take X-rays of your remaining teeth and bone, intraoral photographs and impressions of your remaining teeth. The dental team will use this information to formulate a treatment plan which will be discussed with you.
We incorporated a Cone Beam Computerized Tomogram (CBCT) for better diagnosis, measurement of the anatomical structures and visualization of the remaining bone.
The information collected by the CBCT allows us to make precise measurement and perform "Virtual Surgeries" utilizing cutting edge state of the art implant planning software.
Implants can alleviate many of the disadvantages and discomfort of denture wearing patients. For example, if you, or anyone in your family have been wearing full dentures, dental implants can once again give you the self-confidence to speak freely in public and once again chew your favorite foods.
Implants can also be used as part of a treatment plan that includes single teeth, bridges or dentures. This has its own advantages since the restoration is attached to the implant where it stays firmly secured allowing the patient to talk out loud or quickly and eating or speaking naturally. It is definitely more comfortable and functional; there will be ideally, no more difficulty while eating or speaking, no more uncomfortable loose dental work.
