NATURE OF THE PRACTICE

Dr. Ordonez has focused his training on Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, Dental Occlusion and Orofacial Pain. We have the latest technology in the diagnoses and treatment of TMJ Disorders and agreements with other health care providers that are experts in this field including Neuromuscular therapists, Physical therapists and Chiropractors. The conditions involving TMJ disorders are presented in many cases with different signs and symptoms that usually go unnoticed in the conventional dental evaluation, it is common to find patients that have been misdiagnosed with conditions like trigeminal neuralgia and or phantom pain and have been on anticonvulsants for years and after careful evaluation by Dr Ordonez they were found to have conditions related to Cervical spine dysfunction and or muscle disorders and responded well to conservative treatment.

The evolution of a TMD patient depends on his compliance with the recomended treatment and with a radical change in his life style.

Dr Ordonez performs the surgical and reconstructive aspects of Implant Dentistry by which it is possible to replace the roots of missing teeth, secure bridges and dentures in a functional and cosmetic manner feeling and looking like real teeth. He believes in long term stability and design his cases with the desire to perform close maintenance and follow up so they last long, he has a strict warranty policy on the work that he performs. In this field we have agreements with two world class surgeons and periodontist to handle the surgical aspect of the medically compromised patient that require hospital management so we can concentrate in the restorative aspect of treatment.

"I want you to be happy when I am finished with your dental work, I want you to tell me that you got what you were looking for, then I am happy since I believe in long term relationships"

We have tried every dental whitening system available in the market, we are very proud of our results with our dental bleaching strategies, and have diferent treatment options and solutions to your specific needs and cosmetic desires.

Our equipments and technologies are the most advanced in the dental field, we have all kind of high tech devices, lasers (Diode Laser), Nitrous oxide units (for anxiety management and pain control), Cad Cam technology (Cerec system) that allows us to have cosmetic restorations made in a single appointment, Air Abrassion system (for conservative removal of decay and enhance adhesion of the restorative materials), Electric high torque handpieces (for silent and faster more precise preparation of teeth), electrical anesthesia (for a painless anesthesia experience), Digital radiography (with a great software to analyse data and minimal radiation), in office computerized ceramic oven (for perfect cosmetic modifications), ultrasound and Iontophoresis unit, EMG and Biofeedback among many others.

"I am very proud of my hospital grade sterilization process, it is very thorough"

We also implemented a Soft Tissue Management Program in order to detect, prevent and treat cases of periodontitis. The latest research on Dentistry has shown the high correlation between perio disease and other medical conditions such as strokes, diabetes, lung disease, among others. This findings highlight the importance of conducting a thorough dental assessment that goes beyond the regular dental evaluation.

Remember, your gums are the foundation of your teeth, you have to care for them!

Sunset Smile is a private dental practice that offers a wide array of services in the dental field. Only one patient is seen at a time making you the center of our attention. We are in a constant training process to provide our patients with the best oral health care within a comfortable, family-like environment. We use the latest technology available which guarantees a Cosmetic, precise and painless experience of dentistry.

Dr Ordonez doen't do root canal treatments, every saturday he has an endodontist in the office that does the root canals for his patients, if a patient needs a root canal during the week, he has agreements with recognized endodontist in the area and he will make the proper referral.

Our approach is solution focused meaning that we treatment plan our cases based on the patients specific needs and desires. Our goal is to work along with our patients in the re-design of their smiles in a functional yet aesthetic manner.

We have been very exigent and careful in the selection of our staff, they are professional and friendly and their job is to care for you and make you feel welcome.

Doctor Ordonez is not in any insurance plan, he believe that would compromise the quality of his treatment and the time he spends with his patients, his associate Dr Ximena Rojas is enrolled in PPO plans and will be able to treat patients that want to be in our office under Dr Ordonez supervision and philosophy of practice..

This practice has been designed with you in mind!
